Just Enough Flex, Plenty of Performance

What makes a ConductRF Semi-Flexible RF Cable Assembly “Semi-Flexible”?
ConductRF’s semi-flexible RF cable assemblies are engineered to provide an ideal balance between flexibility and signal performance. Unlike standard flexible cables, which bend freely but have performance limits, or hand formable cables that use tin-soaked outer shields to hold their shape and designed to retain mild shape after routing—thanks to a semi-rigid-style shielding layer beneath a flexible outer jacket.
These cables may look like flexible or hand-formable assemblies from the outside, but internally they’re optimized for precision. The unique construction minimizes signal drift, ensures excellent phase stability across temperature ranges, and supports controlled bend behavior. This makes them an excellent choice for applications where performance matters, but rigidity is not require —such as RF instrumentation, industrial automation, and advanced medical imaging systems.
For many engineers, semi-flexible assemblies offer the best of both worlds: the RF performance and environmental tolerance expected from more rigid designs, with enough formability to allow practical routing during integration.
