ConductRF Offers Expanded Selection of VITA 67 RF Coaxial Cable Assembly Choices

ConductRF is pleased to announce the continued expansion of our suite of VITA 67 RF contacts, connector blocks, and cables for delivering turnkey VITA 67.1, 67.2, and 67.3 coaxial cable assemblies and connector block harnesses. In line with our commitment to providing customers with a variety of choices to compose their assemblies from, ConductRF offers the option to select from all leading VITA 67 contact and connector brands, ensuring optimal system compatibility and performance range.

With frequency capability up to 65 GHz, VITA 67 solutions are widely used in military, aerospace, and other high-reliability applications where precise multi-signal transmission and stable frequency performance are critical. These assemblies feature a blindmate/push-on design, ensuring optimal connectivity even in high-density RF environments. This push-on and snap-on mating style offers a quick installation, saving time and reducing potential for errors. The high-density design of these connector block assemblies makes them a popular choice for motherboard applications in phased array systems and avionics applications.

Highlights of ConductRF’s VITA 67 Offering

Flexible Brand Choices

For contacts and connector blocks, customers can choose from SV Microwave, TE Connectivity, Amphenol, Radiall, Teledyne/Storm, or HUBER+SUHNER VITA 67 solutions, ensuring seamless integration with their existing systems. This flexibility also allows for precise matching based on performance needs should components be in short supply from certain suppliers. For cable, ConductRF offers several proven options for standard .047”, .086”, and .141” flexible cables including our own brand of high performance flexible RF cable.

Superior RF Performance and Optional Phase Matching

VITA 67.1 and 67.2 are generally defined as featuring SMPM/OSMM interfaces that offer performance out to 26.5 GHz. However, with VITA 67.3, some of our suppliers have introduced design enhancements and higher-frequency connector variants (still based on SMPM interface geometry) that push usable performance much higher — up to 40 GHz and in some configurations toward 67 GHz in select configurations.

Rugged Durability

Designed for extreme environments, VITA 67 cable assemblies from ConductRF are built to withstand high vibration, shock, and harsh temperatures, ensuring long-lasting reliability in military and aerospace systems.

Design Support and a Complete Selection of Connector and Contact Styles

ConductRF’s application support team works with customers to design and manufacture tailor-made cable assemblies that meet specific application requirements, whether it’s unique cable lengths, connector configurations, or specialized testing protocols. Standard contact options are: SMPM, OSMM, SMPS, and NanoRF. Common choices for “connector B” include: 1.85 mm, 2.4 mm, 2.92 mm and SMA. For which, ConductRF also has many options.

Complete, Integrated System Solutions

ConductRF offers a comprehensive VITA 67 solution that includes module connectors, backplane and daughtercard assemblies, and high-performance coaxial cables, ensuring system compatibility and an efficient supply chain.

Compliance with Industry Standards

All VITA 67 solutions provided by ConductRF are fully compliant with the Sensor Open Systems Architecture (SOSA) Consortium’s standards. These are rigorous specifications, guaranteeing reliable and high-quality integration across these modular platforms.

Dean Gammell, Director of Business Development at ConductRF, stated:

“By offering customers the freedom to choose from leading VITA 67 connector brands like SV Microwave, TE Connectivity, Amphenol, Radiall, Teledyne/Storm, and HUBER+SUHNER, we’re reinforcing our commitment to delivering highly customizable, best-in-class RF cable assembly solutions. Our VITA 67 assemblies meet the high performance standards of SOSA, ensuring reliable signal transmission even in the toughest conditions.”
